Biographies:

M. Koob studied Wigman technique under Hellmut Gottschild at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to tour the US and Europe with Gottschild's ZeroMoving Dance Company for 6 years. While with Zero, Koob also performed with many of Philadelphia's independent choreographers. On the West Coast, Koob has performed with Six Thumbs Dance Theatre and has been a guest choreographer and guest performer for Asian American Dance Performances, he also dances for The Rebecca Salzer Dance Theater. Koob founded TRANSIT in 1995 and presents work on both coasts. He is in his eleventh year as an Artist in Residence with the San Francisco Arts Education Project, funded in part by the California Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Koob also teaches independently and for The Brisbane Dance Workshop.

Jennifer A. Minore - before moving to the Bay Area in 1993, Jennifer performed with Ballet Michigan. She studied dance at Florida State University and recieved her BFA from the University of Michigan. Since moving west she has performed with Dance Outré, Alleluia Panis Dance Theatre, Violet Swerve Trio and in works by Kevin Ware. Jennifer joined TRANSIT in 1998.

Kathleen Moore was an inaugural member of the conceptual dance company Oblong Rhonda with which she performed for 6 years, often in collaboration with the band Voice Farm. Kathleen has performed under the direction of Leni Sloan and Pearl Ubungen in San Francisco and Mama Lu Parks in New York. Each May Ms. Moore costumes hundreds of children for the San Francisco Arts Education Project's annual EVENT. Kathleen has been with TRANSIT since day one.

Jenny Nagel graduated from U.C. Irvine in 1998 with my B.A. in dance, where she studied modern with Donald McKayle,  Sean Greene and Stephanie Gilliland. Jenny traveled to  Fairbanks, Alaska to teach dance and has since  returned to the central coast to teach dance,  choreograph and perform for Allan Hancock Junior  College and the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing  Arts. She is a certified Pilates instructor and a  member of "Variable Velocity", a contemporary modern  dance troupe based in San Luis Obispo, CA. AS ONE is Jenny’s debut with TRANSIT.

Rebecca Pappas graduated from Connecticut College in 2001 with a double degree in Dance and Anthropology. She has been living in Oakland since September 2001. Rebecca joined TRANSIT for the creation of As One.
